The safety, health and welfare of you, our staff and our community will always be and will continue to be our highest priority. Please refer to the following guidelines for measures we are taking to ensure our team and guests always feel safe and comfortable coming to ROAST. 

Our Safety Measures

  • All restaurant team members are required to wear a mask at all times and are provided with replacement masks as often as needed
  • Health checks for every employee before every shift
  • All guests must wear masks at all times, except when seated and/or eating
  • Strict food safety guidelines from procurement, receiving, storage, preparation, labeling and dating, serving and delivery
  • The use of different color coded nitrile gloves will be used by all staff performing various food preparation (including preparing pork or vegan meals), food allergies, cleaning and  cash/payment handling
  • We offer touch-less payment - Apple Pay / Android Pay
  • Contactless ordering option, payment and delivery thru online ordering and our mobile app
  • Managers will oversee hourly sanitation of all areas of the kitchen, dining areas, order/pickup areas, restrooms, guest areas of high traffic, doorknobs, door panels, phones, and employee stations
  • The use of Electrolyzed Oxidizing Water (EOW) in the sanitization of all food contact surfaces, kitchenware, floors and restrooms - this is 70-80 times more efficient at killing microbial pathogens than chlorine bleach 
  • All restaurant team members are required to wash hands regularly throughout service and for at least 20 seconds as well as the necessary change of gloves
  • The use of digital menu boards for touch-less ordering and disposable menus
  • Restroom equipped with automatic Touch-Free faucets, soap dispensers and sanitizer dispensers and automatic flush valves 
  • Software program housed on an iPad, executed by all staff members, for time and temperature checks on all refrigeration and cold/hot food, timed cleaning task lists and time stamped food labeling for optimal freshness 
  • The use of a UV light sanitizer wand in all delivery vehicles 
  • Heated delivery food transfer bags and cool bags with ice blankets for cold food items to maintain proper temperature during delivery
  • Sanitizer dispensers at all kitchen hand wash sinks, dining room and restroom door handles - that is correct, sanitizer dispensers on the actual restroom door handles.
  • Social distancing markers placed throughout our restaurant
  • Thorough cleaning and disinfection of high touch points including tables, chairs and door handles
  • In-store distancing and seating limits with marked closed tables
  • Color coded cutting boards for prevention of cross contamination
  • The use of Electrolyzed Oxidizing Water (EOW) as a safe and effective way to clean produce prior to preparation - approved by the FDA and USDA as safe and suitable
  • Proper storage, handling and time and temperature cooking of all food items
  • Daily proper cleaning of all food surfaces and equipment
  • To provide a list of all ingredients and how its prepared for our guests if the concern may arise
  • Designated sanitized utensils for various food handling
  • Individually wrapped eating utensils
  • Designated fryer and utensils for vegetarians and vegans
  • All managers are required to be ServSafe certified and all employees required to have completed the NC Count On Me certification
  • Every shift will have at least one staff member who has a responsible alcohol seller/server training certification
